The WSU Tennis squad sent three racqueteers to Spokane this weekend to compete in their final event until they wrap up the fall season at the ITA Regional tournament on Oct. 21 in Stanford, Calif.
Junior Ksenia Googe, sophomore Olga Musilovich and freshman Anastasia Romantsova all represented the Cougars at the Eastern Washington University Fall Classic.
Googe won her first round matchup in two sets but then fell to Heather Davidson of Montana in three sets.
Musilovich also won her first round matchup handily but was thwarted in three sets by Gonzaga’s Kylie Peek in the second round.
Romantsova lost in both her singles matches against upperclassmen opponents from Seattle University and Idaho.
In doubles play, Googe and Romantsova lost their first round matchup against Seattle in a close 8-6 match then fell short to Montana 8-3.
