Okay, I’m not trying to be too grouchy about this, but what are you thinking when you don’t push the button at the crosswalk?  I’m not talking about the intersection crosswalk where directions are given, but those lovely orange blinking lights indicating someone is going to be entering the crosswalk across Stadium Way.  .

With that being said, can’t drivers when they see the blinking light, figure out to slow down before they maim or kill the student in the crosswalk who has pushed the button to cross?   Here I am stopped at the blinking light when here comes a car barreling down the lane next to me, obviously not concerned there could be a student who steps out into the path of moving steel to challenge the laws of physics.

I know that it might seem embarrassing to push the button, but please push the button. And for those of you who are driving, the blinking light means slow down.
